Welcome to the 2026 Summer Rec League!
The Summer session offers a 16-week season with skills clinic/practice and games in the local Metro League. With the safety of all our guests and staff at the forefront, we will continue to ensure our rinks are clean, safe, and kept to the highest possible standards.
The Rinks & Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena youth ice recreational league is open for players of all ages and ability levels.
Our Philosophy - To develop great people through hockey and build an environment that reflects fun, pride, teamwork, sportsmanship, and integrity. Our program follows USA Hockey Models for developing Hockey skills and life lessons throughout the program. Our youth programs are recognized as a Model Club Association through USA Hockey and we are dedicated to age-specific skill development, in accordance with USA Hockey's American Development Model.
Summer Rec League: June 21 - November 1

- 17 age specific division skills clinics
- Friday practices at Poway ICE
- 15 games, one-hour ice slot
- Sunday games at Poway ICE
- USA Hockey Rules
- SCAHA players must play one division up
- The Rinks staff coaching
- 6U* - Birth years 2019-2020
- 8U* - Birth years 2017-2018
- 10U - Birth years 2015-2016
- 12U - Birth years 2013-2014
- 14U/17U - Birth years 2007-2012
*All 6U & 8U games will be modified 1/2 ice or cross-ice
Sunday, June 21:
- 6/8U - 1:15 p.m.
- 10U - 2:30 p.m.
- 12U - 3:45 p.m.
- 14/16U - 5:00 p.m.
- Full equipment is required to participate
- Neck protection is required for all youth programs effective August 1, 2024
- 2026-2027 USA Hockey membership is required for participation.
