A CHRISTMAS DREAM
For the first time in the history of The Rinks Poway ICE, the 2026 Holiday Show will be a scripted story:
On a magical winter night, a young skater dreams for a Christmas filled with wonder. Guided by shining stars, magical winter spirits, playful elves, and beloved holiday characters, she embarks on a journey through a world where snowflakes dance, toys come to life, and Christmas magic is found around every corner.
In the end, she discovers that the greatest gift of all is the joy we share with family, friends, and our skating community!
Skaters of all levels are welcome to participate in the holiday show.
Audition Information
- Audition Registration Open: Monday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m.
- Audition Registration Closes: Friday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m.
Auditions are for skaters interested in performing a solo or a duet in the show. Skaters must register for the audition and will be notified of their role before the show registration opens.
- There are a limited number of solo and duet spots – skaters who do not receive a solo or duet role are encouraged to join a group number
- Skaters will perform their competition/prepared program or perform the list of skills from the Level most appropriate to the skater listed in the “Compulsory Moves Challenge” requirements. (Ex: If a skater has been competing at Aspire 2 this season, they should prepare and perform the skills listed in Level 2)
- Identify from which level of the Compulsory Moves Challenge list the skater will be performing at the audition in the “notes” section when registering for the audition
- DRESS CODE for AUDTIONS: all black clothing (long sleeves preferred); black gloves optional
- DUETS: Please include the name of your duet partner in the notes when registering for the duet audition
Pricing
- Audition cost for a soloist is $30
- Audition cost for each skater in a duet is $15
Registration Information
After skaters have auditioned, they will be informed of their role in the show. If a skater no longer wishes to skate this role, please inform the Skating Director as soon as possible so that we can offer this role to another skater.
Skaters will be assigned their music and work on their choreography with their private lesson instructor. Costumes will be decided between the private lesson instructor and the Skating Director.
Any skater who does not receive a solo or duet role, or wishes to participate in the show with friends without auditioning are encouraged to join an ensemble. There will be FIVE ensemble groups in the show based on skill level. Practices will occur simultaneously with Skating School classes on either Wednesday or Saturday.

Wednesdays 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Pricing
- The total cost for a soloists is $60.
- The total cost for each skater in a duet is $35.
- The total cost for each skater in an ensemble is $122.50 (LTS)/$175 (Academy)
- The total costume fee for each skater is $75
Important Show Information
All skaters in the show are expected to attend ALL REHEARSALS.
Special and Dress Rehearsals
We will host a Special Rehearsal on Saturday, November 28 from 7:45 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. for all skaters participating in the show.
The Dress Rehearsal will take place on Wednesday, December 16 from 4:15 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.
THE DRESS REHEARSAL IS MANDATORY FOR ALL SHOW SKATERS

Important Show Information
General Admission tickets can be purchased in advance as well as at the door.
General Admission - $12
- General Admission tickets can be purchased in advance as well as at the door for guests 5 years and older
- First come, first served seating or standing room around the concourse
- Guests are encouraged to bring blankets to keep warm and/or a pillow to sit on
- Alternatively, you may donate one toy in lieu of one general admission ticket purchase (1 toy = 1 admission; 4 admissions = 4 toys)
VIP Admission tickets should be purchased in advance. We will make every attempt to accommodate those who request a VIP ticket at the door, however this is not guaranteed.
VIP Admission - $55
- Open seating on carpeted ice surface - children 4 years and younger are considered lap children and may not take up an available seat.
- Includes VIP snack and beverage station
- Guests are encouraged to bring blankets to keep warm and/or a pillow to sit on
- Ticket sales start on Saturday, November 28th at 12:00 p.m.
Flash Photography or Videography
Flash Photography is prohibited during the show. This can distract and disorient the skaters, potentially causing serious injury. Please help keep our skaters safe!
Parents are welcome to film and photograph (without flash) their skater during the show. Please be respectful of the other parents around you so that all guests can enjoy this family-friendly event.
We are working to get a professional videographer and photographer for the show. We appreciate your patience as we work out the details.
