Announcing the return of Learn to Skate Summer Camp at The Rinks - Poway ICE!
Learn to Skate Summer Camp is a five-day camp created for recreational skaters at the Snowplow and Basic Skills levels - that's a total of 20 hours of skating and FUN! This camp is a great opportunity for skaters who would like to learn more challenging skills and try some of the components of competitive skating training
Learn to Skate Summer Camp Information
Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26
- 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Learn to Skate Summer Camp (5 days) - $700 ($100 savings!
- Learn to Skate Summer Camp (1 day) - $160/day
- Snowplow 1 -4
- Basic 1 - 6

Registration Information
If your child is brand new to skating and the Learn to Skate Summer Camp is their FIRST formal skating class experience, please register them for Snowplow 1 or Basic 1:
· Snowplow 1 – brand new skaters 3-5 years old
· Basic 1 – brand new skaters 6-16 years old
If your child already has some skating experience or is already enrolled in The Rinks Poway ICE Learn to Skate Program, please register your skater for the next recommended level written on their most recent evaluation or one level higher than their current enrollment.
Skaters currently enrolled in The Rinks Poway ICE Learn to Skate Program will receive priority registration for the Learn to Skate Summer Camp. The priority registration window will be open from February 1 through March 24. Registration will then open to all guests beginning Wednesday, March 25.

- 11:45am-12:15pm Skater Welcome and Check In
- 12:00pm-12:45pm Building Strength/Off-Ice Warm Up
- 12:45pm-1:00pm Put on skates
- 1:00pm-1:30pm Foundational skating skills (ex. Snowplow 1 skills)
- 1:30pm-1:40pm Break/Bathroom/Snack/Free skate
- 1:40pm-2:10pm Pre-Jumps and Pre-Spins
- 2:10pm-2:30pm Break/Bathroom/Snack/Free skate
- 2:30pm-3:00pm On-Ice games
- 3:00pm-3:15pm Take off skates
- 3:15pm-3:45pm Cool Down/Stretch & Flexibility (off ice)
- 3:45pm-4:00pm Pack up and Check Out
