Welcome to the 2024 Spring/Summer Rec League!
The Rec League offers a 16-week season with skills clinic/practice and games in the local Metro League. The safety of all our guests and staff in the forefront, we will continue to ensure our rinks are clean, safe, and kept to the highest possible standards as we follow state and county return to play guidelines.
The Rinks and Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena youth ice recreational leagues are open for players of all ages and ability levels. Our philosophy is to develop great people through hockey and build an environment that reflects fun, pride, team work, sportsmanship and integrity. Our program follows USA Hockey models for developing hockey skills and life lessons throughout the program.
Our youth programs are recognized as a Model Club Association through USA Hockey and we are dedicated to age-specific skill development in accordance with USA Hockey's American Development Model.
Spring/Summer Metro League Format - May 12-September 20
- Paid in Full - $720
- Three-payment Option - $760
- $253.34 due at registration
- $253.33 due June 15
- $253.33 due August 15
- 17 age specific division skills clinics
- Friday practices at Poway ICE
- 15 games, one-hour ice slot
- Sunday games at Poway ICE
- No team events the week(s) of:
- May 24-26
- July 4-11
- August 30-September 2
- USA Hockey Rules
- SCAHA players must play one division up
- The Rinks staff coaching
- 6U* - Birth years 2017-2018
- 8U* - Birth years 2015-2016
- 10U - Birth years 2013-2014
- 12U - Birth years 2011-2012
- 14U/17U - Birth years 2005-2010
*All 6U & 8U games will be modified 1/2 ice or cross-ice
Sunday, May 12:
- 6/8U - 1:15 p.m.
- 10U - 2:30 p.m.
- 12U - 3:45 p.m.
- 14/16U - 5:00 p.m.
- Full equipment is required to participate
- Neck protection is strongly encouraged & will be required for all youth programs beginning June 2024
- 2023-2024 USA Hockey membership is required for participation.
