Beginner Camps

Week Long Beginner Camps - Weeks of July 30th & August 13th

Week 1 - July 30th-Aug 3rd - 3:00-5:00pm

Week 2 - Aug 13th-17th - 3:00-5:00pm

Skaters will have their 30 min class at 3pm or 330pm depending on their level and will have open practice time during the 3-5pm public session

 

Open to skaters in Basic 1-4 & Snowplow 1-4

Classes will be divided by level and age

Program Fee - $70 / Week Long Camp

Early Bird - Save $10 - Register by 7/27 for Week 1 and 8/10 for Week 2

Cost includes daily 30 min lesson, public session practice, & skate rental

Intermediate Camps

Summer Champ Camp Series - Fridays, July 20th & Aug 17th

9:00-9:45am Off Ice Warm Up & Jump Class
9:45am Skates On
10:00-10:30am Edge Class
10:30-10:55am Jump Technique (divided by level)
10:55-11:15pm Spin Technique (divided by level)
11:15-11:45pm Specialty Class (ex. Synchro, Pairs, Ice Dance, Figures)
11:45-12:00pm Power Class
12:00-12:30pm Lunch (bring your own)
12:30-1:00pm Off Ice Specialty Activity (ex. Sports Psychology, Goal Setting, Tips from a Judge)
1:00-1:45pm Off Ice Specialty Class (ex. Conditioning, Ballet, Jazz / Hip Hop)
1:45pm Skates on
2:00-3:00pm Freestyle Session (practice time on your own)

 

Champ Camp is open to skaters Basic 5 to Preliminary level.  All technique classes will be divided by level.

Clinic cost - $85 / day

Register by Monday the week of each of clinic to save $10

Sarah Kawahara - Director/Choreographer
Sarah is a Canadian born director/choreographer well known for her television and touring show productions. She won her first Emmy (television award) for best choreography for CBS’s “Scott Hamilton: Upside Down.” She won her second Emmy for best choreography for the Opening Ceremonies of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. Also the American Choreography Award for Outstanding Achievement in Television Variety or Special for the Opening Ceremony-Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games. At age 17, she joined Ice Capades as a principal and toured for seven years. She began her choreography career with Peggy Fleming, creating “ICE” for Radio CIty Music Hall/ Shipstad Productions. She went on to choreograph Scott Hamilton’s numbers until he retired. Other clients include Kurt Browning, Ilia Kulik, Michelle Kwan, Kristi Yamaguchi, Dorothy Hamill, Robin Cousins, Charlie Tickner, Tollar Cranston, John Curry, Torvill and Dean, Surya Bonaly, Chen Lu, Nancy Kerrigan, Tai Babilonia and Randy Gardner, Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov, Oksana Baiul, Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko, Victor Petrenko, Pang Qing and Tong Jian. Currently running live shows are with Royal Carribean Cruiselines for Bietak Productions and Disney on Ice.
